Guidelines for the
WPPP/Canon Wedding Videography Contest 2014
Title: “I Do”
Duration: not
over Three (3) minutes
Who May Enter:
The contest is
open to any professional or amateur Filipino wedding videographer.
Entrants must be
based in the Philippines.
Entry Fee:
Entry Fee is
Php500.00 for Non-Photo and Video Congress 2014 Delegates
Php250.00 for
Registered Delegates of Photo and Video 2014 Delegates
Payable in cash
thru bank deposit to WPPP C/A 498-7-49801196-5 Metrobank, C. Raymundo Avenue
Branch, Pasig City.
What May Be Entered:
Entries shall
consist of a single production of a wedding video. All footages used must have
been shot for the same event (not necessarily on the same date). Wedding Video
must be taken within 2013 to present (2014). The appropriate use of graphic
elements, scoring, photographs, engagement shoots are permissible. The time
limit shall not fall under 60 seconds and shall not exceed 3 minutes.
What Camera To Use:
Entries must have
been shot exclusively by Canon cameras.
Entry Period:
Deadline for
submission of entries is on May 15, 2014.
All entries must
be sent via DVDs (2 copies) along with the entry form & bank deposit slip
of the entry fee and mailed or delivered to: WPPP Office, G/F Regis Angeli
Building, 33 V. Luna Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.
No exceptions
will be made for any reason. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the
organizers receive your entry by the deadline.
How To Enter:
Fully complete
one official entry form and attach that form
securely to the
entry. Only ONE (1) entry is allowed per participant.
All entries must
be submitted in DVD format (2 copies), in the NTSC standard. Company logos
and/or names, as well as the names of any member of the production team must
NOT appear in any entry. Failure to observe this rule is cause for
disqualification.
Please ensure
that the video is properly cued.
To protect the
videos while being handled, please encase each video in a protective covering.
Your studio name, name/s and/or logo must not appear anywhere on the video entry. ONLY the first and/or last names of the couple are allowed to be seen on the video entry.
Please use plain labels on all entries. Your studio name and/or logo must not appear anywhere on the labels, tape case, or tape shell. ONLY the first and last names of the couple are to be indicated on the label (ie., Santos-Cruz).

Judging:
Entries are
judged on objective elements, as well as the judges’ subjective reactions.
These elements
include dramatic impact, visual creativity, originality, style of shooting and
editing, use and/or reproduction of audio, pacing, and overall production
content. The judges will be a select group of professional event videographers.
The decisions of
the judges are final.
Awarding of
prizes will be held at The Photographers' Night of The WPPP Photo & Video
Congress 2014 on May 30.
PRIZES:
Canon EOS 70D and
one (1) year free membership to WPPP await the grand winner and will have the
chance to have his or her work featured at The WPPP Photo & Video Congress
2014 and on the websites of WPPP and Canon Marketing Philippines Inc.
